Born in Bogota, Colombia, and a native Spanish speaker, she migrated to the United States as a child and has enjoyed traveling throughout the country appreciating its diverse culture. After graduating high school in the Clear Lake area, she attended the University at Albany, New York, and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. This is where her passion for helping people began, becoming involved in refugee work. To this day, she is actively involved in refugee and immigrant committees in the Houston area. After university, she enjoyed the relaxed and sunny life of San Diego, California, becoming an avid sushi, wine, and exercise lover. As a food lover, she never backs down from a new menu. Due to her inquisitive nature, in her free time she travels as much as her schedule will allow. She consumes mountains of documentaries, books, and podcasts, and has a passion for law.
